Entering Full Time Ministry Posted: Apr 3, 2012
We'll be entering full time pastoral ministry, and in preparation to do so, will be relocating to Lubbock, Texas for a season to receive training and mentoring. Rev. Jackie White, pastor of Church on the Rock Lubbock will oversee this part of our journey. We plan to return to the Gila River Indian Community renewed and ready to plant a church and help build the Kingdom until He comes. Please continue in prayer for us as we enter this time of preparation and as we return to fulfill God's call upon our lives. Our plan is to leave May 6, 2012 and continue in Lubbock for a period of one to two years.

Colgate Country Showdown Posted: Apr 15, 2010
Bob has been selected by KNIX Radio as a contestant in the local (Phoenix) Colgate Country Showdown competition to be held Saturday evening, April 17th, at 6:00PM at the Maricopa Country Fair. After the local competitions, there will be state and regional competitions, culminating with the National final held in Nashville. The prize at stake for the National winner is $100,000! Does Bob have what it takes to go all the way?!

Male Entertainer of the Year Posted: Nov 20, 2008
Bob recently joined the Tennesse Country Music Association, and took part in their annual competition in October. He walked away with several songwriting awards, and captured their Male Vocalist of the Year and Male Entertainer of the Year titles! These wins gave him the opportunity to compete in the North American Country Music Association International's national competition to be held in March 2009 at the Country Tonight Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN. If he wins there, he'll gain national recognition with possibilities for jobs and other music opportunities.

Taking part in the TCMA competition has already opened a door for Bob. A producer who heard Bob at the competition liked one of his original songs and is pitching it to Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar. With hits like I'm Already There, My Front Porch Looking In, Let's Be Us Again and Mr. Mom, McDonald has already established his status as a Nashville star. Should he decide to record Bob's song One Woman, Bob will be on his way to establishing his own presence in Nashville as a writer.

Update: Good Enough For Nashville Star Posted: Jul 5, 2008
Currently, there are a dozen stations playing the new single in Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. There are also a couple of internet radio stations giving the song airplay. Bob was phone-interviewed on two Tennessee stations, WLIL in Lenoir City and WJFC in Jefferson City. The DJ at WJFC invited Bob to come to the station for a live performance when he is in the area again.
Also, Bob will be performing live on WDVX in Knoxville on two separate radio programs. The Blue Plate Special is hosted by Matt Morelock and broadcasts live during the lunch hour every day. Bob will be a guest on the show on Wednesday, July 9. He will also appear on Writer's Block, hosted by Karen Reynolds, who is an established fan of Bob's music, on Wednesday night July 16th at 10:00 pm. Visit the WDVX website at http://www.wdvx.com.
Finally, Bob is excited that several stations targeting Native American audiences have picked up the song and are giving it increasing airplay.

"Good Enough For Nashville Star" On The Radio! Posted: Jun 18, 2008
The Villas have been working feverishly to get the new single on the air! Late nights and early mornings are filled with emailing, phone calling, and CD mailing to deliver the song to as many radio markets as possible.

"Good Enough For Nashville Star" is now playing on KTNN and KGHR on the Navajo Nation, KOHN on the Tohono O'otham nation in Sells, Arizona, WLIL in Lenoir City, Tennessee, KFAN Rebel Radio in Fredericksburg, Texas, WJFC in Jefferson City, Tennessee, AIROS Native American Internet Radio, and the list continues to grow.

Most importantly, the single has been delivered to the New! catalog, which delivers new music to nearly 500 stations around the country, including Phoenix's own KNIX. The more plays the song gets on New!, the better the chances are for the song to be played over the air. Check out the Links page to learn more.

"We're very excited about how most stations are willing to play our single," says Bob, "Being Native American, I'm working to get play in as many Native radio markets as we can. I want to make a positive impact on Native people...let them know that anyone can succeed in this market."
